This miso strainer was made by the Tsubame based firm Sampo Sangyō.

Known for their Yukiwa brand of stainless steel kitchen, table, and serving ware - the firm explores endless niches in its work.

This perforated tool, is handy in the moments when you wish to dissolve miso in to soups or other dishes.

The quality of its material, and the precision and thought that has gone into the spacing of the holes at its base, make it a pleasure to use.

It has a diameter of 10cm, and the handle is 21cm long.  The depth of the lower section is 6cm.  It weighs 83g.
